The members of the Board of the Elizabeth City-Pasquotank Economic Development Commission will have a special meeting on Wednesday, September 29, 2021, beginning at 8:00 a.m.

Washington, D.C. – Rep. Greg Murphy, M.D. (NC-03) released this statement following the news that TCOM, a global leader in airborne persistent surveillance solutions with manufacturing and testing facilities in Elizabeth City, has received a $217 million contract from the U.S.

Elizabeth City State University and United Airlines Aviate pilot career development program have partnered to train a new generation of pilots. On Friday, Aug. 27, on the ECSU campus, university officials will be joined by United Airlines representatives to launch a partnership that seeks to not only train future pilots, but also bring more women and people of color into the ranks of commercial aviation.

(Elizabeth City, NC, April 30, 2018) – VectorCSP, headquartered in downtown Elizabeth City, North Carolina, was one of just two Coast Guard support businesses, out of more than 2,000 Department of Homeland Security contractors, to win the Department’s Small Business Achievement Award. DHS honored the company last week for its superior work with the U.S. Coast Guard.

Next year, Elizabeth City residents will have their choice of eight gigantic screens for watching just-released studio films as plans for a new multiplex cinema continue to unfold. Earlier this year, Albemarle Theatres LLC proposed the development of a $10 million Cineplex at City Center West during city and county public hearings. In February, both City of Elizabeth City and Pasquotank County commissioners cleared the way for the project, voting in favor of a Business Investment Program incentive for the project.
