K-12 Education
- The Elizabeth City-Pasquotank County Public School system (ECPPS) has a total of 12 schools including elementary, middle, and high school school. Approximately 800 staff members with a student population of 5,800.
- The Northeast Academy for Aerospace and Advanced Technologies (NEAAAT) is a highly innovative regional STEM academy. The school currently has approximately 500 students enrolled in grades 6-12.

College of the Albemarle (COA)
- Community college with 2,000+ students serving Northeastern North Carolina since 1960.
- Main campus here in Elizabeth City-Pasquotank County, while 3 satellite campuses are located in Manteo, Barco, and Edenton.
- Solid industrial skills curriculum such as Welding Technology, Aviation Systems Technology, Computer Integrated Machining, Computer Aided Drafting, Electrical Systems Technology, Computer Programming, IT Project Management, Supply Chain Management, and an Associates in Engineering.
- Will provide customized training to industries.

Elizabeth City State University (ECSU)
- 4-year public, HBCU established in 1891 with approximately 2,500 students currently enrolled.
- Member institution of the University of North Carolina system.
- Degree programs such as Accounting, Business Administration, Communication, Digital Media, Computer Science, Aviation Science, Engineering Technology, and Graphic Design.

Mid-Atlantic Christian University
- 4-year private Christian University with 200+ students serving the region since 1948
- In addition to Biblical Studies, MACU offers Business degrees with concentrations in Human Resources, Marketing, and Organizational Leadership
